Parent Teacher Conferences

This is your opportunity to connect, ask questions, and make informed decisions by choosing the meetings that best fit your child's needs.

Evening Conference Details:
  • Date: Thursday November 20th
  • Time: 5:00PM to 8:00PM
  • Location/Format: Virtual meeting via Microsoft Teams
Afternoon Conference Details:
  • Date: Friday November 21st
  • Time: 12:30PM to 2:30PM
  • Location/Format: Virtual meeting via Microsoft Teams
 

Register for Appointment Slots

All appointments will be booked through our online registration system - Excelsior Prep's Parent Teacher Conferences Appointments.
 
Please register for your preferred time slots as soon as possible, as availability is limited and assigned on a first-come, first-served basis.

📋 Instructions for Booking:
Each appointment slot is 10 minutes to accommodate your discussions with each teacher.
  1. Click the Registration Link provided.
  2. Choose your meeting type. 
    1. Parent Teacher Conference - allows you to select teachers
    2. Guidance Meeting - allows you to select a guidance counselor
    3. Admin meeting - allows you to select a school administrator
  3. Choose an open appointment time that works best for your schedule 
  4. Select your student's teachers from the available list. (Teacher names are visible in NYCSA, Google Classroom, your child's schedule and report card.)
  5. Add your contact information. The email confirmation and link to join your meeting will be sent to this address you type in. Additionally if there's a technical issue with the virtual meeting, adding your phone number gives us a second method of contacting you.
  6. Book your appointment. You should receive an email confirmation.

1. Introducing Xello: Career and Future Planning

Our high school uses Xello, an online platform designed to help students discover future career possibilities, plan their coursework, and prepare for life after graduation. We encourage you to become familiar with this valuable resource!

2. Opportunity: Upcoming Reading Intervention Classes

We are excited to announce the launch of new reading intervention classes specifically designed for high school students who would benefit from targeted support in fluency, comprehension, and vocabulary skills. These classes use evidence-based strategies to accelerate reading proficiency, which is crucial for success across all subject areas.
  • Details: In the upcoming weeks, we will discuss the implementation plan with you if assessment results indicate this is a beneficial next step. our screeners are primarily the MAP Growth test and in-class observations.
