NYCPS is taking a cautious, developmentally appropriate approach to student-facing generative artificial intelligence (AI) and routine individual screen use. High school students will have limited, guided opportunities to learn about and use generative AI for specific approved purposes. This approach also reflects feedback

Tuesday November 3rd 2026 is Election Day! Students attend classes remotely. No staff nor students will be in the building.

High School Applications Now Open

Fall 2027 High School Admissions opens Tuesday October 6th and closes Friday December 14th.

Thursday September 24th at 5:00pm, Excelsior will be hosting a family informational meeting. Do you know the staff? Is your child taking advantage of all programs available? What do the reports we send home mean? Join us and let’s build the foundation we envision for our children.

Interested in Law?

Join The Exploring Program at the Queens County District Attorney’s Office! This is your chance to learn about the many legal careers that exist right here in Queens! This program will include a chance to shadow Assistant District attorneys, and sessions with various legal professionals!
