Good Afternoon Excelsior Seniors,
It’s yearbook picture time!! As you know seniors will be taking their yearbook photos next week on Tuesday December 13th, Wednesday the14th and Thursday the 15th in the school library. These are REGULAR school days and all students are expected to be in attendance as they would on a normal school day. We are working with Continental Studios this year as we did last year. You can check out their website at www.continentalstudios.com and reach them by phone at (718) 268-2870, or (718) 263-1114 with any questions.
All students have been assigned an appointment time by continental studios on one of the above listed dates. Attached to this email you will find an alphabetical list with appointment times, please read this list carefully as the times are not necessarily chronological. All students were given physical appointment cards last week in their history classes.
On your scheduled appointment day and time you will be expected to pay for your photo session directly to continental studios. Your session payment can be made in cash, check, money order, and even credit card.
The studio has made two options available to students:
- Option 1: $15.00 Photo session only - No Proofs provided, and the studio selects your yearbook photo. This option is best for students who do not plan on buying any photo packages, and simply want to be featured in the yearbook.
- Option 2: $30.00 Photo session + Online Proofs - For this option you will be provided with a password and/or links by email for online access to proofs of your portraits. You get to choose your picture for the yearbook, order your graduation portraits, AND your session payment may be used as a down payment and will be deducted from your order if you place your order before the deadline and choose a package that is a minimum of $95.00.
- For an additional fee of $10.00 students may choose to add a photo, such as a sports photo in their sports uniform, a music photo if your child plays an instrument, or informal photo with your own clothing choice. Please call the studio with further questions on this.
The studio will be providing students wil formal yearbook attire (black velvet drape for the ladies, and tuxedo for the young men).
Please bring or wear a tank top for use with drape, or shirt with no collar for use with tuxedo. A cap and gown photo will also be taken - cap and gown also provided.
It is VERY important that you keep this appointment, missing the appointment can jeopardize your picture appearing in the yearbook. If you are photographed past our school’s deadline you may have to pay a $25.00 late fee.
